Perfumes, Proclamations, and Passages of Spring: Join My 365-Day Peaceful Photo Challenge
DAY 181. Living with irrevocable differences and curating peace through contemplative photography.

March 1, 2025
Temperatures climbed to 61 degrees on a sunny, breezy Saturday – the first in March.
Choosing the midday warmth for a walk, I ventured to my favorite park.
The sun’s rays painted a radiant smile on my face, which blossomed as soon as I saw the people.
Lively couples, families, and friends took the path around the park, embracing the day and each other. They were joys to see, all chorusing that they would not waste the blessings of these warm hours indoors.
Across the street, the Salt Marsh called. Hungry soles kissed the earth, and nostrils consumed the scent, filling the air.
My eyes ran to the tree before me, where perfume poured in and mixed with the surrounding oxygen, showering me with its elixir.
I researched to discover that the hotter the weather, the more the pores of the needles release the essential pine oil into the atmosphere.
And so, on a Saturday, people took spring paths, people and nature proclaimed songs of spring and rebirth, and the air was filled with perfumes of pine, people, and park paths.
It was pure peace.
How, with your irrevocable differences, are you cultivating contentment and accepting what you cannot change? How are you focusing your lens and attention on moments that foster the curation of peace?
