Bridging The Gaps: Join My 365-Day Peaceful Photo Challenge
DAY 150. Curating peace through photos, with and without words.
January 29, 2025
The Gerritsen Inlet Bridge is one of the bridges on the Belt Parkway connecting the New York City boroughs of Long Island and Queens to the east and Staten Island and Manhattan to the west.
The bridge links Barren Island to the east and Plumb Beach to the west.
The original 1940 bridge was replaced as part of a 2012 $700 million Belt Parkway Rehabilitation Project.
My last long walk gave me these photos, and I researched to know what I was seeing.
Bridges are fascinating things, bridging gaps that were once difficult to traverse.
What gaps are you facing today in your personal and professional relationships? What internal obstacles are you trying to overcome?
What measures are you taking to traverse the divides?
If you are the only one trying to bridge the gap in your interpersonal relationships, how do you summon your best self and cultivate internal peace? If you are facing fear, how are you overcoming it?
